In 2005 Khen Rinpoche gave a commentary on the Kunzang Lamai Zhalung (Words of my Perfect Teacher) to Tibetan and Nepali monks who had just entered three-year retreat. We provide here the initial parts of Rinpoche's commentary translated into English by Judith Amtzis working with Ngo Drup Dorji, Lopon Sonam Tsewang and Sherpa Lama:
For their translations of Patrul Rinpoche's root text, the translators wish to express their gratitude for the invaluable help provided by the earlier translations done by the Padmakara Translation Group and Sonam T. Kazi. We acknowledge any mistakes as our own. By the merit of this effort may all of Khenchen Namdrol Rinpoche's aspirations be fulfilled. These six parts comrpise the entire unrestricted portion of Khen Rinpoche's commentary. The restricted portions are planned to be printed and distributed to students as appropriate.
In early 2009 Khen Rinpoche gave a commentary on a short text by Mipham, "Lion's Roar: Buddha Nature in a Nutshell" to students of the Rigpa Shedra East. The translator for the teachings, Gyurmé Avertin, has prepared a translation of Mipham's text which is made available here.
Since the inception of the Ngagyur Nyingma Institute on the campus of Namdroling Monastery, Bylakuppe, IN in 1978, Khen Rinpoche has taught extensively on subjects ranging from Shantideva through the most advanced of Vajrayana texts including those of Longchenpa and Ju Mipham.
Over the years in addition to his many teaching duties at the Insitute, Rinpoche has given many extended teachings for the benefit of students in Taiwan, Singapore and the West. These teachings include:
